When Mary visits Elizabeth, the Holy Spirit moves Elizabeth to recognize the mother of her Lord, and John responds with joy in the womb. Mary then magnifies God for His mercy, His faithfulness to His promises, and His care for the humble and hungry. Her song announces the coming King and a kingdom that overturns worldly pride.
Mary’s response invites us to surrender our lives to God rather than seek our own importance. As His Spirit fills and directs His people, we are called to magnify Jesus in ordinary life, making His grace known and finding our joy in the Savior who brings sinners into His kingdom.
