FROM THE WORD

Hebrews 10:1–14 | Christ’s Once-for-All Sacrifice

March 29, 2026

Hebrews 10 contrasts the repeated sacrifices of the old covenant with the perfect offering of Jesus Christ. The blood of bulls and goats could never remove sin; those sacrifices were shadows pointing to Him. Jesus fulfills the Father’s will, gives His body once for all, and sits at God’s right hand with His saving work accomplished.

We cannot add religious effort or good works to make His sacrifice sufficient. Those who trust Christ are made holy through His offering, even as He continues to shape their lives in obedience. His finished work frees us from trying to earn God’s love and calls us to live in His lavish grace.
