A man full of leprosy falls before Jesus and asks to be made clean. Jesus touches him, heals him, and commands him to show himself to the priest. Yet the man spreads the news instead, disrupting Jesus’ ministry. His outward cleansing exposes the deeper question of whether his heart is submitted to Christ’s authority.
The cleansing rituals in Leviticus point to the blood of Jesus, which frees sinners and restores them to fellowship with God. His mercy calls us beyond seeking useful gifts to trusting and obeying the King Himself. This sermon invites honest examination of our hearts, repentance, and surrender to His rule in every part of life.
