Jesus teaches that those who truly hear the Word of God will show evidence of belonging to His kingdom. Those who are in Christ will hear the King, obey the King, proclaim the King, and increasingly embody the King. Luke 8 calls us to “take care then how you hear,” reminding us that belonging to Jesus is not about family, nationality, church attendance, or outward religion, but hearing God’s Word, repenting, believing, and doing what He says.
